Let's tour some members’ gardens! Come explore, get inspired, and exchange ideas about our shared passion, landscaping with native plants.
After meeting at NewBo City Market to admire the sidewalk prairie strip, we will carpool to visit four chapter members’ home gardens in Cedar Rapids including:
• Not one but two rain gardens - both as artful and whimsical as their owners.
• A once-wooded lot that was devastated by the derecho, and is now a full-sun yard of native plants
• A backyard prairie of size and beauty that must be seen to be believed.
After circling back to NewBo, there's the option to stay on for post-tour beverages at Parlor City.
All yards will be shared “as is” with minimal preparation.
